Tavola was founded in 1947 as
an import-export company, trading in automobile products between
Italy and the United States.
In 1964 Tavola obtained exclusive distribution rights for the
Arbre Magique car freshening products made by the American company
Car Freshner Corporation. In 1975, Tavola itself began to manufacture
Arbre Magique products.
The product won rapid success, attaining a leadership position
on the market. This encouraged the company to add more products.
In this way it developed a wide and comprehensive range of products
for car care and cleaning.
In 1982, Tavola obtained exclusive distribution rights for STP
products (oil and fuel additives). The company continued to
expand, and the STP brand also became a leader in its sector.
From 1987 on, after creating a specific division for large-scale
product distribution in the consumer market, the company continued
its development by adding new product lines, for personal hygiene
and home cleaning products. In 1993, Tavola reinforced its growth
trend by purchasing the exclusive distribution and manufacturing
rights for the Italian market for the Coppertone
range of tanning products, a leading brand on a world-wide level.
Recent additions to the company’s range include other
successful personal hygiene products, such as Orphea
Protezione Naturale and Podovis, and,
in the home care range, Mister Magic and Orphea
Salvalana.
Today, Tavola holds a leadership position in all channels of
distribution (mass market, car spares, car accessories, petrol
companies) and in all the product sectors in which it operates. |
